Today’s featured family may look a little familiar to you because I featured them last week, too! If you haven’t seen that post, click here to view Baby C’s birth story and while you’re there, you’ll find out the most amazing thing that happened to me this month!
I’m so glad I got to see Amy and Bill’s family again during their little girl’s newborn session. After documenting her Spring, Texas home birth, I was really looking forward to capturing more wonderful memories for them. During our time together, we were able to achieve a variety of must-have images and more. At the top of the list of priorities for this session were a few siblings shots, an updated family portrait, and a few images of baby. Big sister E did an amazing job for mama by being a good listener and loving on baby sister C. She definitely made my job easy, which I was thankful for because you never know how hard big siblings will make you work during a newborn session! Enjoy this peek into my time with Baby C and her loving parents and sister.
First up is one of my favorite sister photos from the session. Having two children of my own, I know that an image like this of both their daughters will be very special for Amy and Bill and will be treasured by C and E once they get a little older.
Baby C wasn’t actually loving the photos in her birthday suit so we swaddled her nice and tight and she loved being cozy! I picked out a beautiful sage green color for her images and it’s a new favorite of mine! What a pretty color for this cute little doll! She just loved the soft texture and warmth it provided.
Here it is! It’s the first official family portrait as a family of four and I think you’ll agree that they nailed it!
As much as I loved the sage, every little girl needs a pop of pink in her life!
Those cheeks! I love how chunky this little girl was already – she has been busy eating and growing since I photographed her birth!
Baby C’s grandmother brought this adorable little bonnet for her and it was the daintiest thing I’ve ever seen. I love when I get to incorporate special items like these into my session styling because I know they’ll be all the more special for baby’s family. I’ll admit I was excited that it was a perfect match to my fluffy blanket, too.
