Last month, I had the pleasure of hosting Baby J and his family in my Katy, Texas home studio. His mother found me on a local baby forum board and I’m so glad she did because this family was such a joy to work with! Her littlest guy was already born when his mother contacted me to schedule his session but luckily, I was able to fit him in because he and his family were such a dream. Baby J was eight days old when he came to see me for his newborn photos so well within the two week timeframe that I recommend doing newborn photos. He was in that curly sleepy stage that we all like to see in newborn photos and it allowed us to get some wonderful images of him. See for yourself below in this recap of our time together!
Introducing Baby J! I am so in love with this image. As much as I love posed newborn photography that shows off perfect little baby features, relaxed and natural poses like this also melt my heart. I think Baby J liked it, too, because he slept pretty soundly like this, even though he was in his birthday suit. And how about that hair? I have no words to describe the cuteness!
Here’s the money shot, ha! As a mama of two boys I treasure images of my little ones dearly so I know their parents are going to just love this one!
Baby J is quite possibly the hippest baby I’ve had in the studio so far! Don’t you agree?
This little guy just nailed the potato sack pose! Look at those cute little hands peeking out – could he be any cuter?
Details like this are so important to document during the newborn stage. Newborns grow out of this stage so quickly I love giving parents images like this to look back on and remember how little their child once was.
I’m so glad Baby J’s older siblings were off from school on the day of the session because they were super sweet and such great listeners. I already know they’re going to be great mentors to their little brother.
Ta-da! Meet the Olivarez family, my friends. A happy family of FIVE! Don’t you just love the joy in all of their smiles?
