What I love about being a full-service Katy studio photographer, is that I’m able to help my clients every step of the way throughout the portrait process.
Working with families is personal to me. Choosing someone to document your family’s biggest, once-in-a-lifetime milestones is an important decision. And it’s an honor that I do not take lightly.
The truth is, serving mothers who are often in the busiest and most vulnerable stage of their lives, is the heart behind what I do. I know what it’s like to have a newborn (and a toddler!) and to feel like I’m being pulled in so many different directions. What new Mom has time for hanging a gallery wall, let alone all of the other parts of the process?
To me, being a full-service photographer means less stress for you and more beautiful portraits with your loved ones.
It also means that in reducing that stress for you, I’ve taken away all of the pain points that I hear so often from Mamas about getting into the image with their babies. My goal is to eliminate the stress for you from start to finish.
The ‘Why’ Behind What I Do | Katy Studio Photographer
We believe in hanging your family portraits on the wall to make sure that your memories are displayed for you and your family to see daily.
I have found that my clients want and love digital images, but never really take the time to sit down and finish the process. As a result, their beautiful images sit on a hard drive. The thought of figuring out how and where to display them years later is overwhelming.
Over the years I have invested in education to learn the intricacies of custom framing. It’s an art in itself- but one that I fully believe in to display your portraits and preserve them for generations.
From wall gallery designs to ordering, fabrication, and even installation of your frames, I am here to help.
I’m one of few studio photographers here in Katy, and even the Houston area, who assembles frames by hand. Your heirloom piece never has to leave the studio until delivery day!
What Makes Custom Framing Different
Simply put: the quality.
Our framing process is made with all conservation products so that your beautifully framed pieces be around for years to come. It’s the final step in making sure your cherished art piece is framed to our quality standards. In addition, you won’t risk damage to your prints by framing at a craft store.
When you invest in custom framing through our studio, your artwork comes as an archival portrait, with matting, conservation acrylic, and the custom frame of your choosing. This means your artwork will look as good 70 years from now as it did on day one.
Where to Start
Honestly, the hardest part sometimes is just getting started! I’m a visual person so I find that seeing frame combinations on the wall itself is incredibly helpful in the decision process.
I will walk you through each step of the process. This includes choosing the wall, finding a frame that fits your style, visualizing the design, and installation. These galleries can even be added to each time you do a session, building the story of your family as you grow.
Plus, Dad gets out of having to hang frames! No more worrying about creating a hundred holes in the wall as you try to find the perfect placement!
Why Displaying Your Images is a Must
As a Mom myself, I absolutely adore displaying our family’s portraits on the walls of our home. My kids are getting older and probably wouldn’t admit it, but I know they appreciate them too!
The very best part for me as a photographer though is seeing the reactions once your gallery wall is installed. It’s truly so special even for little ones to see their images with Mom and Dad on the wall.
Creating high-quality portraits to hang on your wall stretches far beyond just what you see. Having long-lasting wall art around your home establishes a sense of belonging in your children. Through your little ones’ eyes, they see that they fit in with the ones they love. They have a place.
