Brianne and her husband became Storybook Collective members after seeing the maternity and newborn portraits we created for a friend of hers. Their plan was to use their 3-session Storybook Collective for maternity, newborn, and one-year sessions for their twin girls. Sometimes babies have a plan of their own. These two little ones decided they were ready to grace the world with their presence before we were able to have the maternity session! Instead, their Storybook Collective journey began with the newborn session for their twin girls.
Lots of Pink and White for Twin Newborn Session
The session began while Brianne had her hair and makeup done and the girls were photographed individually and together in various poses. Brianne and Matt wanted white with hints of pink for the session so we started with pink headbands for the unwrapped poses, moving to whites for wrapped. At one point, the girls were showing their different personalities – one was wide awake and looking all over while sister was tucked in and snoozing soundly. Newborn sessions with twins will always give you a little glimpse into how alike or different they might be. Brianne chose a pink dress from our Client Closet and Matt wore a white shirt to continue the pink and white theme.
A Newborn Session Rooted in Tradition
Both Brianne and Matt are A&M graduates. A word synonymous with Texas A&M University is tradition. Matt was also in the Corps while there. They both wanted to incorporate as much of that as possible into the session for their twins. The girls snuggled under dad’s hat and wore mom and dad’s rings for a few portraits. Brianne and Matt chose to frame one of the A&M portraits to hang in their upstairs living area alongside some of their memorabilia from their time at school.
Heirloom Portraits from the Newborn Session
Not only did they decide to display a portrait upstairs, but we also helped them design a 7-piece gallery for their entryway during their ordering appointment. Once we framed their pieces, we carefully delivered their artwork and hung each piece with care in their home. That was one less step for them to worry about. Not only do Brianne and Matt have beautiful framed portraits for everyone to see as they enter their home, but both girls get to see themselves in different stages as they grow and the galleries in this home continue to grow to during their Storybook Collective. We cannot wait to see how much has changed when they come in for their sitter session!
